Casserole:
8 eggs
1-1/2 cups half-n-half
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
10-12 slices soft Hawaiian bread
Topping:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
2 cups pecans
1/4 cup maple syrup
Generously butter a 9 x 13 pan. Mix eggs, half-n-half, and brown sugar in large bowl. Place bread slices in pan. Pour egg mixture over top. Cover and refrigerate overnight. The next day, make the topping. Melt butter, sugar, and syrup together. Cook. Add pecans. Pour over casserole. Bake 45-55 minutes in 350 degree oven. Allow to sit for 10 minutes before cutting.
